From the year 1990, independent firms began conducting Reverse Sales and Use Tax audits. My career began in 1991. We were the innovators who initiated reverse audits. As the practice expanded and more competitors entered the market, the focus quickly shifted from assisting the client to generating revenue. Contrary to the advice of my colleagues, I decided to leave the large firm environment and establish my own practice. Numerous businesses have benefited greatly from excellent work and a cost-effective strategy.

Affeldt consulting was established to provide companies with the service they deserve and to maximize the value of every engagement for our clients. Since its inception, our practice has expanded to include many of the largest companies in the Upper Midwest. We have multi-state experience and consult frequently in over twenty states. We provide a variety of services. Many of our clients have realized substantial savings by outsourcing their sales and use tax requirements. Over the years, we have saved our clients over $200 million, and that number continues to grow! Our clients range in size from those with less than $10 million in annual revenue to those with over $30 billion.
